So far I have been using a Nikon EM (manual focus 35mm SLR) That is older than I am, but none of the photos are up on here.
The photos that are on here are from a sony point and shoot digicam that belongs to my mum.
So I have been looking forever for a better means of taking photos and have been umming and ahhing about the pros and cons of digital vs my film. Bottom line is digital works out cheaper and is easier to use. But is heavier (for trekking) and the pictures aren't as controllable by things like film, especially for B&W.
So I still haven't made up my mind. What I am thinking of doing at the moment is moving to medium format film (120 film) starting (procrastinating) with a $20 Holga and a few rolls to see how it shoots and processes. And then decide whether to stick with film or make the move to the dslr. Who knows, I may fall in love with my whacky Holga!
And as much as I love my 35mm SLR, it lacks all of the creature comforts of today's cameras that make life easier, like autofocus, auto film advance and a working light meter.
Well that's where I am in the camera market at the moment!
